Privacy Policy

GradeWorth ("we", "the app") helps you decide whether a trading card is worth grading by reading the card from a photo and showing real sold-comp prices. This policy explains what we collect, why, and your choices. We built the app to need as little of your data as possible — you can use it without an account, and you can optionally sign in with Apple to back up and sync your collection.

What we collect

• Card photos you scan. When you scan or pick a card image, that image is sent to our server to identify the card. We do not attach your name, email, or any account to it.
• Your collection. The cards you have scanned, their prices, and your decisions are stored locally on your device. If you sign in with Apple, your collection is also stored on our server so it can be backed up and synced to your other devices. (Your card photos are not uploaded for sync — only the card data.)
• Account info (only if you sign in). If you sign in with Apple, we receive a stable Apple user identifier and, if you choose to share it, your email — used only to operate your account and link your synced collection to you.
• Basic technical logs. Our server keeps short-lived operational logs (e.g. request time, card query, errors) to keep the service reliable.

We do not collect your contacts, location, or advertising identifiers, and we do not sell your data. We collect your email only if you sign in and choose to share it.

Accounts (Sign in with Apple)

Signing in is optional. If you do, we use Apple's Sign in with Apple and store your Apple user identifier, your email (if you share it), and your synced collection on our server to provide backup and multi-device sync. You can delete your account at any time in Settings → Account → Delete account, which permanently removes your account and your server-stored collection. Signing out stops syncing and keeps the collection on your device.

How card photos are used (third-party AI)

To identify a card, your photo is sent from our server to OpenRouter, a third-party AI provider (United States), which runs an AI vision model to read the card. The image is used only to identify the card and produce a price; it is not used to identify you. We do not control OpenRouter's own retention; we send only the card image and the minimum needed to read it. Card prices come from sold listings on collectibles.com, and catalog data from a third-party card API.

Where your data lives

Your collection is stored on your device using the operating system's local storage, and — if you sign in with Apple — also on our server (hosted in the United States) to enable backup and sync. It stays until you delete it. Settings → Clear all data and deleting the app remove the on-device copy; Settings → Account → Delete account permanently removes your account and server-stored collection.

Analytics & crash reporting

The app may use a crash-reporting and basic analytics service to fix bugs and understand which features are used. When enabled, this collects anonymous diagnostic and usage events (e.g. "scan completed") and crash reports, not the contents of your cards. It does not collect your name or contact details.

Your choices & rights

• Delete your data: Settings → Clear all data (on-device), or delete the app. If you signed in, Settings → Account → Delete account erases your account and server-stored collection.
• Access / erasure requests (e.g. under GDPR/CCPA): if you have not signed in, your collection is on your device and card photos are processed transiently, so we hold little about you. If you signed in, you can delete everything from the app, or email support@gradeworth.com.

Children

GradeWorth is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them.

Changes

We may update this policy; we will change the date above and, for material changes, note it in the app.
